GMAC Bank’s online savings account rate is 0.24% higher than the online savings account rate offered by Capital One.
GMAC Bank, an online bank established in 2001, offers an online savings account rate at 2.25%APY while Capital One, established in 1995, offers an online savings account rate at 2.01%APY.
GMAC Bank’s online savings account rate is accurate as of May 1, 2009 and may change at any time. The bank requires only $1.00 minimum opening deposit and there are no monthly service fees and access to online banking is free.
Capital One’s online savings account rate is accurate as of April 14, 2009 but is subject to change. The 2.01%APY, however, applies to balances over $10,000. There are also no fees and online transfers are free.
GMAC Bank and Capital One are global financial firms’ and are FDIC insured so money should be safe.
