Global Credit Union checking account at 6.00%APY

The highest APY offered for checking accounts in Idaho is the one offered by Global Credit Union. It currently is offering 6.00APY on qualifying checking accounts. In addition, customers will get free debit card, free lifetime membership and free ATM use, including refunds of ATM surcharges.

The APY applies to balances up to $10,000 and when the following requirements are meet:

1. Customers must sign up for eStatements or electronic statements;
2. Customers must provide a valid email address;
3. Customers must log in to its Online Banking at least once per month;
4. Customers must receive an automated deposit or withdrawal of at least $100 to the checking account per month; and
5. Customers must use the issued debit card to make at least 12 purchases per month.

Balances over $10,000 earn 0.25%APY and when the above requirements are not meet.
